Located just across from the Thailand border, the Mergui Archipelago opened to foreigners 1997. With only a few of the 800 islands home to a sparse population, the Moken (Sea Gipsy), and a scarce number of visitors to the entire region each month, the Mergui Archipelago remains one of the planet’s most unspoilt destinations.

DAY 1 – Kawthaung   (- / - / D)
Meeting point will be at the Myo Ma Jetty / pier in Kawthaung during the day.   Upon arrival in, check in explore the boat and listen to the boat- and safety briefing. Take a land tour to temples, local wares and the markets and meet the crew and the other guests. Enjoy dinner and the first night aboard, along the bustling border town of Kawthaung

DAY 2 - Kawthaung - Kyet Mauk Island - Say Tan Island - Zardet Kyee  (B / L / D)
Upon daybreak, and after clearing all the administration procedure with the Myanmar Authorities, it is time to set sail for our adventure cruise around the Mergui Archipelago.  Our first stop will the 40 Nautical miles away South Bay on Zardet Kyee Island. If the tides allow, we will do a short stop over at the Kyet Mauk Island for some kayaking into the enclosed Lagoon. The island is a limestone atoll without a beach, but with a stunning lagoon, shape like a heart. The next stop will be at Say Tan Island formore swimming, kayaking or just relaxing on deck. This is a day to settle down, visit beaches, kayak and get to know each other. Scuba-diving begins tomorrow.

DAY 3 - Zardet Kyee - Western Rocky - Fan Forrest Pinnacle     (B / L / D)
An early start from the South Bay will take you to our first dive site, Western Rocky - a mid-ocean site with rocky outcrops piercing the surface. This is a great site where two dives can be organized. The second exciting dive site is at Fan Forrest Pinnacle, a mid-ocean sea mount which stands 6 meters above the water surface.

DAY 4 - Boulder Island  (B / L / D)
Dive at Boulder Island where there are several diving sites and walking tracks. With an abundant wildlife above and below the water surface, diving, walking, kayaking and snorkeling are activities of the day on this pristine, well-protected tropical island.

DAY 5 - Boulder Island - Bo Wei Island - Kyun Pila East Bay - Jar Lann Kyun - Kyun Pila East Bay     (B / L / D)   
We depart for the first dive at the southern rocks of Bo Wei Island, following a short passage to Kyun Pila East Bay. A short visit at a small village of Moken (Sea Gipsy) and fisherman at Jar Lann Kyun Island is our next stop Jar Lann Kyun count a small village that houses a big temple, local shipyards and a busy fishing transfer port. This spot offers an opportunity to those wanting to experience the Mergui culture.

DAY 6 - Kyun Pila East Bay - Three Islets - Salet Galet    (B / L / D)
A short passage takes us to one of the best dive sites in the Mergui Archipelago, named Three Islets. Following the dive, we will head to Salet Galet, a unique fishing village, to explore a beautiful mangrove river if the tide allows.

DAY 7 - Salet Galet - Island 115 - Barwell Passage    (B / L / D)
Departing early and 40 Nautical Miles south-bound, we head to Island 115 for lunch, swimming and snorkeling. A further 24 Nautical Miles to Barwell Passage will bring us to our final night anchorage in the Mergui Archipelago

DAY 8 - Barwell Passage - Kawthaung  (B / L / -)
If time permits, take a swim and enjoy some beach time before departure if transfers allow it, before we set sail on a 3-hour passage takes us back to Kawthaung. We will arrive in Kawthaung around 11.00 hrs (11.00 am). Transfer via air conditioned Mini Van can be organized from the harbors Kawtahung/ Ranong to Khao Lak and Phuket.

Above itinerary are approximates and may be subject to changes on accord to guest requests, weather conditions, official regulations, or other circumstances. The final decision regarding the itinerary always lies with the captain of the yacht.

  • All local transfers & crew assistance on the embarkation & disembarkation day from Ranong/Thailand and Kawthaung/Myanmar.

  • alcoholic beverages, Guests wishing to bring alcohol on board, will have to pay a corkage fee of USD 5 per bottle of wine and USD 10 per bottle of champagne or spirit. Beer may not be brought onto the yacht by the guests

* Mergui Archipelago Royalty Fee
All foreign travelers need to pay an official visitor fee to enter Myanmar's Mergui Archipelago. The fee is comprised of various components and is calculated based on the duration of the stay, the cruising range, the size of the boat, and the number of guests on the boat. It includes a visitor license, a port fee, and service fees for different government departments. These fees are not included in our rate and is payable on the departure day to the Authorities. The total visitor fee for our sailing trips currently US$ 310 per person & 210 US$ for Myanmar Citizen. The above Fee is set by the Myanmar Government and is subject to change without notice.

Children Policy: (prices same as for adults)

  • Children younger than 16yrs can only be accommodated on board upon special request.
  • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or other

responsible adult over the age of 21. Said passenger shall be fully responsible for the conduct and entertainment of the minor. The Boat operator reserves the right to limit the number of minors under the age of 18 years on board.


Travel- & Medical Insurance

Travel Insurance including medical repatriation insurance is mandatory on all our trips. Therefore, we strongly recommend to our guests to make sure to purchase suitable insurance package, which covers all kind of traveling problems, such as lost or loss of luggage, any kind of cancellation of airlines or tours for the value for all the length of your trip.  All our tours are including local accident insurance via the operator, but they are most of the time not European standard. Make sure that it covers all the activities that you are likely to undertake, such as rafting, scuba diving, cycling, cruises, trekking etc.  Many ‘free’ insurances that come with banking packages, credit cards etc., are quite inadequate to cover you, so make sure you check the policy before your travel. You are required to give a copy of your insurance policy to your tour leader upon arrival. Without proper insurance like this, we will not be allowed to join the tour as we will not be able to respond adequately in case an emergency if you do not have the right insurance. Please also contact your doctor for further preparations regarding to your chosen travel destination including immunizations.

Myanmar Visa:
All visitors to Myanmar must apply for a 28day tourist visa. You can get your Myanmar visa either at your Myanmar Embassy in your country or since 1 September 2016 everybody can apply for e-visa to enter through all parts of Myanmar including Kawthaung and then travel freely in Myanmar. The price for such visas is 50 US$. Please note: The Visa on Arrival (Tourist) will be issued only to those arriving by air through the Entry points of Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw International airports.
