Day 1: Bangkok – Kanchanaburi - River Kwai Noi (- / L / D)
Get ready for your journey back in history and nature. Your pick up time is between 06.00 am - 06.30 am from all major hotels in Bangkok downtown via air-conditioned minivan to Kanchanaburi which is located around 128 km to the west of Bangkok.
Our first stop will be at the Thailand-Burma Railway Center. This interactive museum is a remarkable research & information centre, dedicated to the story of the Thailand-Burma Railway. Visit one of the impressive War Cemeteries, where many of allied soldiers were buried. Then visit the worldwide known ‘Bridge over River Kwai’. It was built in about 16 months, by allied prisoners of war and Asian conscripts. The bridge was afterwards destroyed during allied bombing raids, by the end of World War II. But it was later rebuilt by Japanese,
as war reparations.
From here we will take a local long-tailed boat and cruising along the River Kwai to your luxury Raft. Check in and enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the nearby ethnic Mon Tribal Village & Temple. Then return to the raft for dinner followed by a 45-minute presentation of Mon Dance Overnight at raft.
Day 2: River Kwai Noi (B / L / D )
For today we have a few options for you – just let us know what you like to add:
A: Take a long-tailed boat upstream to visit SaiYoke Yai Waterfall & National Park. The Sai Yok Yai Waterfall flows into the river and it is famed for its beautiful environs. The fall is very impressive during the rainy season as the waterfall is extremely forceful and rapid.
B: Take a canoe or Bamboo raft and take a breath taking ride along the historical river of River Kwae Noi and the stunning natural surroundings, do not forget your camera and just relax (1hrs trip)
D: Visit the Lawa Cave and explore the fascinating stalactite. Explore the Kanchanaburi’s largest and most famous cave located in Saiyok National Park. It has not been fully explored yet due to its gigantic size under the earth. The cave is beautifully designed by nature with stalactites and stalagmites in many unique formations. The Lawa Cave consists of chambers inside. Each chamber has its own stunning are stalactites and stalagmites formations.
E: Or just take the day off and enjoy the nature around you or at the riverside natural spring pool overview the river. And take a relaxing walk in a tropical orchard at the back of the resort. The Raft Resort grows a variety of tropical fruits such as mango, rose apple, sweet banana, durian, jackfruit, pomelo, lime, rambutan, papaya, longan, dragon fruit and others. There are also an herbal garden and palm garden nearby.

Day 3: River Kwai Noi - Death Railway - Bangkok (B / L / - )
Get up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After check out we will take a long-tailed boat to the Phutakien pier and continue on road to the Hellfire Pass Memorial. Only re-located in the 1980s, Konyu Cutting (known as Hellfire Pass by Prisoner of War (POWs) and Asian laborers who cut and blasted through rock by hand to clear this pass for the Death Railway) has been reclaimed from the jungle as a profound war memorial. The descent through the jungle down to the pass is a moving experience.
From here we will departure the river valley for a tasty lunch at a local restaurant on our way to our next stop before we continue our journey through the history of this are by taking a historic ride on the famous Death Railway Train passing over original wooden viaduct constructed by Allied Prisoners of War (POWs). Arriving at the last station we will change to an air-conditioned van for last part of our tour. We meant arriving Bangkok downtown around 06.00 PM, however, under some unpredictable traffic circumstances; we could take somewhat longer hours to get back BKK.

You are required to give a copy of your insurance policy to your tour leader upon arrival. Without proper insurance like this, we will not be allowed to join the tour as we will not able to respond adequately in case an emergency if you do not have the right insurance.
