Enjoy your stay under the stars at this Tented Camp Resort located at the Kwai Noi river and meet with the nature and locals.  

Below we have two Packages. Package a, which is more focus on local experience and the upgrade version package b is more focus on nature discovery.  Our programs / packages are adjustable any time, meaning we can create a private and individual program just for you and your family. Package a - Local Experience

Day 1: Bangkok – Kanchanaburi - River Kwai Noi     (- / L / D)

Your journey starts with a pick time between 06.00 am -06.30 am from major hotels in Bangkok downtown via air-conditioned minivan. Depart to Kanchanaburi which is located around 128 km to the west of Bangkok.

Our first stop will be at the Thailand–Burma Railway Centre in Kanchanaburi. The Thailand-Burma Railway Center is an interactive museum, research and information facility and fully air-conditioned.  The Center is dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand–Burma Railway and offers an educational and moving experience.  Visit the nearby Allied War Cemetery and show you respect to the more than 6,000 Allied Prisoners of War (PoWs), at their resting-place.  Our next stop is the world-famous River Kwai Bridge a part of theDeath Railway constructed by Allied Prisoners of War (PoWs).

We will continue our journey after lunch at a local restaurant for a visit at the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum which is dedicated to all Asian laborers and Allied Prisoners of War (PoWs), who suffered and died at Hellfire Pass.  Then we will descend the long set of stairs behind the museum to Hellfire Pass Memorial Walking Trail following the original rail bed. 

Continue our trip your luxury tented camp to check in, the rest of the afternoon you have time to explore the resort before the campfire dinner.

Day 2:   River Kwai Noi – Mon Tribal Village – Mon Chat  (B / L / D )

After breakfast, we will take a long-tailed boat to get to our sister resort, from there we will visit the nearby Mon tribal village, where the Mon people have lived for generations.  Visit the Golden Rock, Buddha image cave and village school. Mon Chat, sit down and talking with original Mon people concerning history religion culture and dances.  Experience how to wear “Sa-rong” Mon costume and how to play “Saba” traditional Mon game.  Making Tanaka powder from the wood and bark of the Tanaka tree extensively as a natural cosmetic, sunscreen, skin treatment, and insect repellent.  Then take a short walk on easy jungle trail along the riverbank to get to the stunning viewpoint of River Kwai.

We will return to our luxury Tent Resort lunch with a view over the river.

Take the mountain bike and explore more in detail the nearby Had Ngew’ local Village with its school and temple. The camp is set in a remote rural area called “Had Ngew”. These local villages are still specializing in basket weaving. You also have the option of just relaxing in your Tent or at the small pool overviewing the river.

Day 3:   River Kwai Noi  - Death Railway - Bangkok   (B / L / - )

Get up early in the morning and cycle across the hanging bridge to the temple “Wat Hat Ngio” and offer food to the monks.  Cycle back to the Camp and enjoy your breakfast before checking out. If time permitted visit the Hintok Story Museum which is located within the camp.  The museum is located on the site of the former PoW’s camp kitchen, actually, this camp was from July to September 1943 a British Prisoners of War (PoWs) Camp with 300 prisoners.

We will departure from the resort around 11.00 am and leaving the river valley for a tasty lunch at a local restaurant on our way to our next stop.  We will take a historic ride on the famous Death Railway Train passing over original wooden viaduct constructed by Allied Prisoners of War (POWs). Arriving at the last station we will change to an air-conditioned van for last part of our tour. We meant arriving Bangkok downtown around 06.00 PM, however, under some unpredictable traffic circumstances; we could take somewhat longer hours to get back Bangkok.

Day 1: Bangkok – Kanchanaburi - River Kwai Noi     (- / L / D)

Day 2:   River Kwai Noi – Sai Yok Yai Waterfall & National Park - Mon Tribal Village – Lawa Cave – Cooking Class  (B / L / D )

After breakfast, we will take a long-tailed boat upstream to visit Sai Yok Yai Waterfall & National Park. The Sai Yok Yai Waterfall flows into the river and it is famed for its beautiful environs. The fall is very impressive during the rainy season as the waterfall is extremely forceful and rapid.    

We do a stopover at our sister raft resort for Lunch before heading to visit Mon tribal village, where the Mon people have lived for generations.  Visit the Golden Rock, Buddha image cave and village school. Take a short walk on easy jungle trail along the Riverbank to get to the stunning viewpoint of River Kwai. We continue our journey to the Lawa Cave and explore the fascinating stalactite. The Lawa Cave is one of the caves with breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites. It was formed by rain containing carbon dioxide which fell down to the ground and became water with carbonic acid. It then eroded underground limestone and formed connecting holes in it. After that, when groundwater level decreased, the cave appeared.

Return at the camp enjoy making popular and delicious Thai dishes at your cooking class before dinner.

Day 3:   River Kwai Noi  - Death Railway - Bangkok   (B / L / - )

 Transfers

  • The transfer from Bangkok to the resort is operating on join/ seat-in-coach basis with an English-speaking guide only. Depending on the number of guests on any confirmed tours, the correct type of car/ van / coach cannot be confirmed at your reservation.
  • Transfers are only operated within Sukhumvit (Soi 1 - 33), Silom, Pratunam areas and restricted to main hotels only
  • Regions outside the central business district such as Khao San Road, Rattanakosin, Nonthaburi, Thonburi, Minburi, both International Airports, Ratchadapisek and upper Sukhumvit (Soi 33 and further) are excluded and supplementary charges apply

Travel- & Medical Insurance

Travel Insurance including medical repatriation insurance is mandatory on all our trips. Therefore, we strongly recommend to our guests to make sure to purchase suitable insurance package, which covers all kind of traveling problems, such as lost of luggage, any kind of cancellation of airlines or tours…….. for the value for all the length of your trip.  All our tours are including local accident insurance via the operator, but they are most of the time not European standard. Make sure that it covers all the activities that you are likely to undertake, such as rafting, scuba diving, cycling, cruises, trekking etc.  Many ‘free’ insurances that come with banking packages, credit cards etc., are quite inadequate to cover you, so make sure you check the policy before your travel. You are required to give a copy of your insurance policy to your tour leader upon arrival. Without proper insurance like this, we will not be allowed to join the tour as we will not able to respond adequately in case an emergency if you do not have the right insurance. Please also contact your doctor for further preparations regarding to your chosen travel destination including immunizations.
