Bandar Palace - Istana Bandar
The stately Bandar Palace is located in the historical town of Jugra. In the past, when Jugra was the seat of ancient kings, Bandar Palace was the venue to entertain prominent dignitaries and foreign emissaries. Built in the early 20th century and inspired by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Alauddin Shah, the palace boasts exquisite woodcarvings that enhance its magnificent that enhance its magnificent marble structure.
Sultan Abdul Samad Mausoleum
Situated on top of one of the several hills in Jugra, the Royal Mausoleum of Sultan Abdul Samad is a combination of various architectural styles including Western Classical and Indo-Muslim, Western Classical. Built in 1898, the Royal Mausoleum commands a scenic view of the surrounding countryside.
Melawati Hill - Bukit Melawati
Melawati Hill is located in the coastal town of Kuala Selangor only 30 min from Kuala Lumpur. In the late 18th century the second Sultan of Selangor had a fortress constructed on Melawati Hill to protect the state from intruders.
The hill provided a vantage point to monitor ships in the Straits of Malacca and even with a strategic hold, the Melawati Fort yielded to the Butch cannons. Other attractions are a lighthouse, a royal mausoleum and a quaint rest house.
The Blue Mosque
Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque in Shah Alam is reputedly one of the most stunning structures in the country and also known as the 'Blue Mosque'. The boasts is the tallest minarets in the world and visitors approach the mosques are welcomed by the awe-inspiring blue dome. Decorative Islamic calligraphy dominates the edges surrounding the dome and main prayer-hall, while the interior architecture exhibits ethic Malay design elements. Batu Caves
15 km from Kuala Lumpur located in a limestone outcrop is the one of the most popular tourist destination in Selangor - Batu Caves. These Caves are draws people from all over the world during the annual Hindu festival, Thaipusam. The Batu Caves consists of three big caves, including the main temple cave which features ornate Hindu shrines. Scaling the 272 steps leading up to the temple and visit the 140 feet statue of Lord Muruga, reputed to be the tallest in the world. The Ramayana Cave is nearby where evocative scenes of Indian epic myths are artistically painted along the walls. The limestone structure is also a popular spot for rock climbing.
Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple and Monastery
Situated in Jenjarom this Buddhist monastery is a tranquil enclave of beautifully landscaped gardens and scenic beauty. It is known as a center of Buddhist religious education and culture.
The 16-acre land consist of several sections, including a area of the Eighteen Arhats, a monumental archway, the bodhisattva Guan Yin Statue, courtyard, a main shrine, art gallery, relics shrine and several buildings.
Orang Asli Museum
The uniqueness of Malaysia's Orang Asli (indigenous people) is best observed through the practices and tradition inherited from their ancestors.
The Orang Asli Museum in Gombak offers an insight into the traditional lifestyle and culture of Selangor's Orang Asli. The Museum has an extensive collection of tribal paraphernalia such as cared ancestral masks, spears and blowpipes adornments as well as musical instruments and figurines.
Carey Island
Located on Selangor's coast, northwest of Marib and 20 minutes from the royal town of Klang, Carey Island is home to the indigenous Mah Meri community. Mah Meri and aboriginal tribe is known for their traditional woodcarvings. They are also known for their mask sculptures fashioned as an ancestral tribute during their New Year celebration, also known as Ancestors' Day. The island comprised also a largely of oil palm estates.
Garden of Islamic Art
Overlooking the 'Blue Mosque' the 'Garden of Islamic Art' is a beautiful landscaped park inspired by the Quranic Garden of Paradise.
Covering 14 hectors this spiritual sanctuary houses nine galleries' that exhibit a rich array of Islamic arts such as sculptures, calligraphy, architecture and paintings.
Sultan Alam Shah Museum
Situated at the heart of Shah Alam, the Sultan Alam Shah Museum is a commanding blue-roofed building that showcases some of the finest displays in the country.
By entering the museum you will be enveloped by the grandeur of Selangor's bygone era. Some of its treasured artifacts are the royal regalia of the affluent Selangor Sultanate as well as the relics of the British era.

The Sepang International Circuit caters Formula one (F1) and GP races.
