Dataran Merdeka Square - The Independence Square
On the turf at Merdeka Square, a marble plaque marks the spot where the Union Jack was lowered at midnight on August 30, 1957.

Sultan Abdul Samad Building
Originally the offices of the Colonial Secretariat, it later served as the first administrative center of the Malayan government. Built in 1848 by British architects, this historical landmark is famed for its Islamic-inspired architecture.
Today, it houses the Courts of Law. The 40 meter high clock tower is a popular gathering point for New Year and National Day celebrations, parades and revelers.
Kuala Lumpur Rail station
Built in 1910 the Islamic influences in the design of graceful arches and minarets make this one of the most distinctive railway stations in the world. The building underwent extensive renovations and refurbishment in 1986.
This was the nerve center of the Malaysian railways that stretches from the north to the south of the country and eastward to Kelantan before its recent relocation to KL Sentral.
Menara Kuala Lumpur - KL Tower

The National Monuments is the world's tallest branze sculpture and every year on the "Warriors' Day' (31. July) the Prime Minster, heads of the militar and police pay their respects to the fallen heroees.
Masjid Negara - National Mosque
The National Mosque is a uniquely designed building with blue domes and white walls.The mosque was built in 1965 and is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a newly independent Malaysia.
The key feature of Masjid Negara, which has a capacity of 15.000 people, are a 73 meter high minaret and an eighteen pointed star concret main roof, the umbrella, synanymous with the tropics is featured conspicuously.
